Positions at: Camp Whip-Poor-Will/Libbey (WW/L) Camp Stonybrook (SB)

 

Interim Resident Camp Director (WW/L) $9000+

Responsible for directing camp including hiring and staff supervision, scheduling, training and evaluation. Supervisory experience and time committment starting March 7 required. Must be at least 25 years old. Driving required.


Assistant Camp Director (SB/WW/L) $4000+
Responsible for assisting the Camp Director with staff supervision, scheduling, and training as well as camp operation. Supervisory experience and time commitment before camp required. Oversees camp activities and is responsible for camp in Camp Director's absence. Must be at least 21 years old. Driving required.

 

Staff Director (WW/L) $3,500+
Assist Director and Assistant Camp Director in basic camp operation. Supervise team of counseling staff to provide support and guidance. Responsible for scheduling and placing unit staff, monitoring program planning, and completing weekly reports. Must be at least 21 years old. Driving required.


Activities Director (WW/L) $3000+
Coordinate and monitor activity needs of units including filling requisition forms and transportation. Plan, coordinate, and implement all camp activities and themed weeks. Oversees and manages the program staff. Must be at least 21 years old. Driving required.

Program Director (SB) $3,500+
Responsible for developing and supervising program areas. Works directly with the Program Assistants to coordinate activities. Must be at least 21 years old.

Office/Business Manager (WW/L) $3,000+
Works with administrative staff to provide business support to camp program activities. Responsible for managing communication, such as phone and mail, computer documents and administrative duties. Previous office experience and computer skills required. Must be at least 21 years old. Driving required.

Waterfront Manager (WW/L) $2,900+
Responsible for development and administration of pool safety and maintenance. Trains and supervises lifeguards and pool watchers. Teaches swimming, diving, aquatic safety, watercraft, and other aquatic activities. Assist in units as requested and fulfill program staff duties. Must be at least 21 years old, have lifeguard and WSI certifications and supervisory experience. Small craft experience is a plus.

 

Pool Manager/Health Supervisor (SB) $3000+

 

Responsible for development and administration of pool safety and maintenance.  Trains and supervises other lifeguards and pool waters.  Responsible for health and safety of Program Assistants.  Must be at least 21 years old and have lifeguard and WSI certification.  Supervisory and small craft experience a plus.

 

 

 

Horseback Riding Director (WW/L) $2,900 +
Develop and implement an integrated Western-style instructional riding program, supervise horseback riding instructors, oversee corral operations, maintain daily care of horses. CHA riding instructor certification or equivalent required. Must be at least 21 years old.

Archery/Sports Specialist (SB/WW/L) $2,100+
Develop and implement an integrated sports program supporting unit staff and camp objectives. Maintain inventory, supplies, and equipment. Work directly with girls to provide fun, high quality programming. Assist in units as requested and fulfill program staff duties. (Camp Libbey – oversee and manage the Adventure Challenge Education program including High and Low Challenge Course. Ropes Course Instructor certification required.) Knowledge and experience in sports rules and regulations required. Archery certification required. Must be at least 18 years old.

Nature Specialist (SB/WW/L) $2,100+
Develop, implement, and work directly with girls to provide an integrated environmental education program supporting unit staff and camp objectives. Assists in units as requested and fulfill program staff duties. (Camp Libbey – maintain the Environmental Center including managing equipment and supplies, cleaning, and scheduling.) Must be at least 18 years old. Knowledge/education/experience in natural sciences or environmental studies required.

Arts and Crafts Specialist (SB/WW/L) $2,100+
Develop, implement, and work directly with girls to provide an integrated arts and crafts program supporting unit staff and camp objectives. Organize scheduling, maintain crafts facility, inventory, equipment and supplies. Assists in units as requested and fulfill program staff duties. Trains staff to provide arts and crafts activities. Must be at least 18 years old. Knowledge and experience in arts, kiln use, and crafts required.

Adventure Challenge Education Instructor (SB) $2,500+
Responsible for maintaining safety standards and implementing all challenge course experiences. Must be at least 18 years old and have previous ropes course experience. Must attend Instructor training in March. Driving Required.

High Adventure Travel Manager (WW/L) $2,500+
Responsible for developing, coordinating, implementing, and supervising all high adventure camp trips. Maintains necessary travel arrangements and files appropriate forms and reports, responsible for reservations, money, and transportation. Trains staff and campers in skills needed to participate in all trips. Additionally acts as a Unit Leader for all trip program opportunities or for a group at camp if there is no trip going out that week. Previous trip leading experience required. Must be at least 21 years old. Driving required.

Unit Leader (WW/L) $2,300+
Responsible for supervision of Unit Counselors and campers. Depending on the experience, could direct a generalized unit or a specialized unit. Previous management and camp experience preferred. Must be at least 21 years old. Driving a possibility.

 

 

 

CIT Manager (WW/L) $2300+

 

Responsible for development and implementation of the Counselor-In-Training program, including curriculum development, training, managing, and evaluation of CIT's. Additionally acts as a Unit Leader for all leadership opportunities or for a group at camp if there are no leadership opportunities that week. Previous management and camp experience preferred.  Must be at least 21 years old. Driving a possibility.

Counselor (WW/L) $2,050+
Responsible for direct supervision of campers. Work as a team with Unit Leaders/Program Staff to provide fun, high-quality, and varied camp activities. Completing paperwork as necessary and insure the safety of all participants. Must be at least 18 years old.

Lifeguard (WW/L/SB) $2,100+
Responsible for assisting Waterfront Manager in development and supervising waterfront activities. Assists in units when not fulfilling waterfront duties. Must be at least 18 years old and have current lifeguard certification.

Horseback Riding Assistant (WW/L) $2,100+
Counselor responsibilities plus assist with the implementation of Western riding programs supporting camp objectives. Work directly with girls to provide a fun, high-quality program. Riding and teaching experience required, current CHA certification preferred. Must be at least 18 years old.

Food Service Manager (SB/WW/L) $3,000 +
Responsible for the management of all aspects of food services operation. Accountabilities include: supervision and delegation of food ordering, meal planning, pack-outs, staff management, and maintaining health and safety standards. Requires previous food service management experience. Must be at least 25 years old. Driving required.

Cook (WW/L) $2,250+
Responsible for assisting Kitchen Manager in providing nutritious, well-balanced meals for campers and staff, including meal preparation, supervision of kitchen assistants, and maintaining health and safety standards. Food service experience required. Must be at least 21 years old.

Kitchen Assistant (WW/L) $2,100+
Responsible for assisting Kitchen Manager in all aspects of the kitchen. These duties may include, pack out preparation, light cooking, washing and sanitizing dishes, cleaning kitchen and dining area, salad preparation, and dining room setup. May assist with some food preparation. Must be at least 18 years old.
