Woman of Influence Award

2013 Woman of Influence Awards

Girl Scouts of Western Ohio is proud to announce our 2nd Annual Woman of Influence Awards.  The Woman of Influence Awards Reception is an annual fundraising event honoring women leaders in our region who demonstrate strong initiative and personal leadership on issues relating to women and girls.

Women make enormous contributions to the success and prosperity of our community.  Building leadership skills begins at an early age.  That’s the remarkable legacy of Girl Scouting.  As we begin our 101st year, Girl Scouts is, as it always has been, the organization best positioned to offer girls the tools they need to be successful leaders now and throughout their lives.

In 2013, we will recognize Girl Scout alumnae, who through their lives and work exemplify the leadership, diversity and spirit of the Girl Scout Movement.  Nominees must live or work within the geographic boundaries of Girl Scouts of Western Ohio, specifically the Toledo and Lima Girl Scout Centers, which includes Defiance, Fulton, Henry, Lucas, Ottawa, Williams and Wood counties in Toledo; and Allen, Auglaize, Hancock, Hardin, Logan, Mercer, Paulding, Putnam and Van Wert counties in Lima.

Nominees exemplify extraordinary commitment to leadership and community.  Girl Scout alumnae will be recognized in one of four areas of outstanding achievement:
  • Trailblazers
  • Advocates
  • Honor Keepers
  • Leaders of Promise

The elegant reception and awards presentation will take place November 14, 2013, from 5:30–7:30 p.m. at the Toledo Museum of Art, 2445 Monroe Street, Toledo, OH 43604.  Cost: $20.  Reservations will be required.  RSVP to Jackie Harding at 567-225-3526 or electronically to jackieharding@girlscoutsofwesternohio.org.  Subject: Women of Influence.  Check back for additional information.

Donations from the Woman of Influence Awards Reception support Girl Scouts of Western Ohio program activities to build girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place.
