11/21/08 - SLAB POURED & FRAMING BEGINS Slab poured for addition Warehouse addition framed, enclosed & under roof Framing begins on addition   11/7/08 - PROGRESS INSIDE & OUT! Foundation poured Warehouse addition started     Library and meeting room walls completely removed Lake front underbrush cleaned up     11/2/08 - FOOTERS POURED, INSIDE DEMOLITION BEGINS 10/20/08 - ADDITION AREA PREPARED gas and sewer lines re-routed outside the footprint of addition   10/15/08 - THE DIGGING HAS STARTED! Digging out the ravine that eventually will become much needed expanded parking
10/10/08 - FENCES UP! the Cornell Road entrance will be marked “CONSTRUCTION VEHICLES ONLY” with access only for construction vehicles and designated staff members The front lawn area, the tree circle, and the east side of the volunteer parking lot will all be fenced off with construction fencing. All visitors and staff members (except designated) must enter from the Cornell Park driveway.	Cornell Road entrance closed for construction - enter off Cornell Park
Beginning 10/13/08 - The front lobby entrance will be blocked off as a construction zone. There will be no public access to the lobby, through the front entrance. All visitors will enter through the staff doors at the east end of the building.

Soon you may be noticing some changes to the Administrative Offices in Cincinnati. To better meet the needs of volunteers and staff , beginning in early October, the Cincinnati regional office will be undergoing some structural improvements. As a part of these changes, volunteers visiting after completion (early summer 2009) will notice improved meeting space available for troop usage. Please note that meeting rooms will remain closed from October until early summer, when the meeting room construction is complete. In addition to improved meeting space, volunteers will notice increased office space to house the administrative office , and increased storage space for the council store, product sales, program, training, and membership supplies.

 

Another exciting part of the updates includes a remodeled council store area. During the time of construction the council store will remain open; however, during this time of transition, we are encouraging all volunteers who would normally visit the council store in person to take advantage of ordering their items online at www.girlscoutsofwesternohio.org .  As an incentive for volunteers, shipping will be free for all orders placed within the Great Rivers Region during construction. We appreciate your patience while
we are under construction.
