Nestled along the banks of the scenic Maumee River just outside Defiance, Ohio, Camp Edward Drummond Libbey has almost 350 acres of fields, forests and ravines. The resident camp program during the summer months offers a variety of programs for girls that include swimming, canoeing, horseback riding, archery, crafts and more.
Grades 1 and up
Troop Adventure Camp (TAC)
TAC is the ideal opportunity for first-time camping troops, or troops that want to enjoy Camp Libbey during the summer. Groups will plan their own camp activities with their staff hostesses, and create a camp experience that is just right for them. Activities to choose from include swimming, archery, climbing wall, crafts, hiking, camp fires and much more! Horseback riding will be available at an additional cost of $25/person (limited space). Girls must be 8 years old to ride. Make new friends as you share your unit with other troops. Max: 100

Camp Rider
Campers and adults attending Troop Adventure Camp can add one hour of horseback riding to their program at an additional cost of $25. Spaces are limited and are filled on a first come, first served basis. Campers must be 8 years old prior to attending camp. All rides will be led by Camp Libbey’s qualified horse staff. Adults are not required to ride with their girls. If an adult registered in Troop Adventure Camp wants to ride with their camper, she/he may, however, we will not provide childcare for younger girls who cannot ride, so please plan accordingly. All riders must wear long pants and boots/shoes with a 1/2 inch heel. Helmets are provided.
