Troop Adventure Camp-Day Camp Jobs

Troop Adventure Camp (TAC) is a four day, three night adventure for girls to go camping with their whole troop.  Together, girls get to plan their whole session by picking the programs and any pack out meals they want to have.  Then, once girls get to camp, they vote on what themed meals and all camp activities they want to do.  Girls explore Camp Stonybrook and once they get older have the opportunity to go on off-site trips like canoeing or visiting local attractions such as Wright Patterson Air Force Base or the Newport Aquarium.

Day camp is an opportunity for younger girls to explore camp for a few hours each day.  Day campers are split into different units when they arrive and help vote on what programs they want to do throughout the week.  Girls get to go swimming, take nature hikes, become bug scientists, fossil experts, artists, camp cooks, skit masters and if they are old enough conquer the climbing and bouldering wall and try their hands at archery.  Day campers have the opportunity to spend one night at camp.

To learn more about the activities girls do at TAC or day camp, check out our Summer Camp Opportunities Brochure.

Staff hired to work TAC and day camp will spend some time at Camp Stonybrook working with troops and at Camp Butterworth working day camp.  A 12 day staff training will prepare and teach staff how to work with campers, how to lead a variety of fun program and much more.  Read on to learn more about the many different positions offered at TAC and day camp this summer.
