 One Day & Overnight Opportunities

​The easiest way to jump into camping is to start at the beginning by attending opportunities lasting one day or overnight.  Our one day and overnight opportunities offer girls and adults a way to enjoy a variety of outdoor program activities at camp.  Whether it’s with family members, favorite adults, individual girls or whole troops; the possibilities are endless.

 CAMP BUTTERWORTH

Grades entering K-1
Daisy Day
All  girls entering kindergarten through first grade are invited to our Daisy Day event! Bring the troop or attend with a parent/guardian for a little taste of camp during this special shortened day. Girls will get to hike, sing songs, play games, enjoy a picnic lunch and go for a dip in the pool. This is a great introductory opportunity for Girl Scout Daisies and parents to discover what Girl Scout camp is all about! Participants will need to bring a packed lunch.  Min/Max: 50/100.

Time: 10 a.m. – 4p.m.   Cost: $10/person
 
Grades entering 2-3
Brownie Day
Calling all Girl Scout Brownies! Bring your troop or attend with a parent/guardian and head on out to Camp Butterworth for an amazing time. Explore camp on a special hike, play games, sing songs, swim and create a craft to take home, all while working on badge requirements. Participants will need to bring a packed lunch. Min/Max: 50/100

Grades entering 4-5
Junior Day
All girls entering fourth through fifth grades are invited to attend Junior Day. Visit Camp Butterworth with your troop or bring a parent/guardian to spend your day with. Learn to identify trees and plants on a hike, make a craft to take home, sing songs, play games, visit the bouldering wall and try your hand at making a one match fire. For lunch bring your favorite food for a picnic. Before the day’s over make a snack over, a fire and work towards some badge requirements. Participants will need to bring a packed lunch.

CAMP LIBBEY
Grades entering K-1

Camp Whip Poor Will (Morrow, OH)
Grades 1 and up
Me and My Guy
This is a special camp experience planned just for girls entering the first grade and above, and their favorite male adult. This is the perfect opportunity for first time campers to experience the magic of camp and try new things together or for experienced campers to have special one-on-one time with a favorite male role model. A few of the things girls and their guys might have the opportunity to do are:
• Take a dip in the pool
• Climb a wall together
• Try a few badge activities
• Eat a meal specially prepared for you
• Learn new outdoor skills
Girls and guys can come to camp for the day and spend fun quality time exploring all camp has to offer! Activities will include a mixture of structured and self-directed program activities. Non-guardian adult campers must have a signed permission slip from the legal parent/guardian of the girl. Min/Max: 100/150

CAMP STONYBROOK
Grades 1 and up
Me and My Gal
This is a special camp experience planned just for girls entering the first grade and above, and their favorite female adult. This is the perfect opportunity for first time campers to experience the magic of camp and to try new things together. It’s also great for experienced campers to have special one-on-one time with a favorite female role model. A few of the things girls might have the opportunity to do are:
  • Sleep in a platform tent
  • Enjoy arts and crafts
  • Try a few badge activities
  • Eat meals that are prepared for you
  • Take a dip in the pool
  • Sing around a campfire
  • Go on a nature hike

Come to camp for an overnight with that special girl in your life and spend fun quality time with her exploring all camp has to offer! Activities will include a mixture of structured and self-directed programs. Non-guardian adult campers must have a signed permission slip from the legal parent/guardian of the girl. Min/Max: 100/150
