Nestled along the banks of the scenic Maumee River just outside Defiance, Ohio, Camp Edward Drummond Libbey has almost 350 acres of fields, forests and ravines. The resident camp program during the summer months offers a variety of programs for girls that include swimming, canoeing, horseback riding, archery, crafts and more.

Grade 1
Treats and Trails
Be courageous and strong as you learn new outdoor skills. Pack and go on a hike, make first aid kits and walking sticks, learn a few knots and all about the weather, and make a yummy snack. While using Journey activities to guide your days at camp, you will still stay cool in the pool and at the end of camp have fun using all your newly acquired skills in an awesome all camp activity. Grades 2-3
Outdoor Explorer
You will be a true explorer this week. Follow trail signs, learn what gear to use, create a classic outdoor snack and leave no trace. Become an expert Letterboxer as you make your own stamps, pads and hide your own letterboxes. Learn to tie knots, build fires, go swimming, and explore the climbing wall plus a whole lot more activities from various badges and Journeys. At the end of camp have fun using all your newly acquired skills in an awesome all camp activity. Max. 12

Grades 4-5
Outdoor Adventure
Come discover what camp adventures you like best! Try everything camp has to offer including swimming, archery, climbing wall, arts and crafts, and geocaching. Plan some of your own adventures from badge or Journey activities which might include cooking in a Dutch oven, setting up a tent, using a compass, tying some knots and creating a lashing project. At the end of camp have fun using all your newly acquired skills in an awesome all camp activity. Max. 16

Grades 3-5             
Libbey Horse Day Camp
For Girl Scouts age 8 and older at the time of the program opportunity. Explore everything Camp Libbey has to offer! In addition to horses, do some hiking, swimming, climbing wall and more. Spend 1-2 hours three days at the corral learning about horses and how to care for them and spend time each day learning to ride. This is a great way
to experience camp but return home each evening plus learn a whole lot about horses! Max: 20

Grades 7-12  
Libbey Day Camp Program Aide
If you have completed Program Aide training and would like to spend the week at day camp working with girls, developing leadership, teambuilding, and programming
skills, then this is a great opportunity for you. Work with camp staff to implement programs such as badge work, crafts, nature hikes, singing and more. PA’s will earn hours toward their PA pin. PA’s will need to be dropped off and picked up each day. Max: 5

* Libbey Day Camp Optional Overnight
If you’d like to continue having fun with your counselors and friends by staying over the last night of camp, sign up for this optional Thursday overnight at Camp Libbey. Girls will cook out supper, plan some special evening activities and end the evening with a traditional campfire. When bedtime finally hits, girls will stay overnight in lodges or tent units. Breakfast is provided in the morning. This option is available to day camp participants and helps prepare girls for resident or Troop Adventure Camp! Max: 53

Program Aides get to take a break from leadership duties by day, to have a night of their own at Camp Libbey. Girls will plan their own cookout and fun evening activities. Whether
sleeping in a lodge, tent or under the stars, this will be the perfect evening to kick back and enjoy whatever comes their way. Breakfast will be provided in the morning. Max: 5
