The Girl Scout Bronze Award is a leadership adventure for Girl Scout Juniors and more than half a million other Girl Scout Juniors across the country and around the world. Imagine what you can accomplish when you team up with others and use your special skills and interests to take action and make a difference in the world! This award is the highest honor a Girl Scout Junior can achieve. As you and your team plan and complete your project, you’ll develop more confidence, meet new people and have the kind of fun that happens when you work with other Girl Scouts to make a difference.
Before starting on the Bronze Award, you must complete a Girl Scout Junior Leadership Journey
. After you have fulfilled the leadership journey requirement, you will begin steps toward your Girl Scout Bronze Award Take Action Project: identifying an issue that you truly care about, investigating it thoroughly, getting help and building a team, creating a plan, presenting your plan, gathering feedback, taking action, and educating and inspiring others. There is a minimum of 20 hours required for these seven steps.
Bronze Award Workbook
The guidelines for earning the Bronze Award are in the Bronze Award Workbook:
Girls working on their Bronze Award will submit paperwork to their troop/group leader/volunteer for approval. Each girl must submit the Bronze Award Final Checklist and evaluation to the Girl Scout Service Center after completion of the award in order to purchase the pin.
