Currently the training requirements and length of training vary between the different regions within Girl Scouts of Western Ohio for outdoor trainings.  No matter which region in which your training has been taken, it is accepted by all regions.

COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course is designed to prepare volunteers who work with young or inexperienced Girl Scouts to lead them on their first overnight camping experience in a lodge. Participants will gain confidence in their ability to work with girls to plan, implement, and evaluate a trip to a Girl Scouts of Western Ohio Lodge or an overnight trip. Progression, safety and outdoor activities will be discussed.

AUDIENCE

Troop leaders, co-leaders and other registered adults who are participating in a troop out-of-doors experience.  One adult per troop is required to complete this training to camp at a Girl Scouts of Western Ohio lodge or other indoor camp facility.

REGISTRATION

Please register at least 14 days before the course.  Submit a Training Registration Form online.  Download a .pdf version of the Adult Training Registration Form.
