LET’S MAKE MUSIC!
Members of the Miami University Marching Band (MUMB) are hosting a clinic for Girl Scout Brownies in which they will earn the Making Music Try-It.  The girls will participate in hands-on activities in which they will be making music and learning about musical concepts and music around the world. In addition to the try-it, Brownies will get to talk to MUMB members, ask questions, experience different instruments, and try on the official uniform! The clinic is hosted by the brothers and sisters of Tau Beta Sigma, a music service sorority, and it will be held at the home of the MUMB, the Center for Performing Arts at Miami University.  The clinic will be offered once a year with the next one occurring on April 24th.  Please contact

Newport Aquarium Scouts Honor Weekend
It's that time of year again... Spring Scouts Honor Weekend Saturday, May 1 and Sunday, May 2, 2010.  Click here for the registration form and here for the "Meet the Biologist and Diver" registration form, which will help Girl Scouts fulfill individual badge and patch requirements.

Momentum 2010 Young Women’s Day: March 7th
Momentum 2010 will encompass key issues for the advancement of the status of women and
girls such as education, economics and health. It will be a day to network, energize, create a
policy agenda and celebrate International Women’s Day. We will focus on diverse populations

Children’s Theatre of Mason
Children’s Theatre of Mason would like to invite Girl Scout troops to their production of Rogers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella at Mason High School Theatre on March 12th, 13th and 14th. They are offering a special reduced price of $9/ticket to Girl Scout groups with reserved seating.  Ticket prices for non-groups are $10 with no reserved seating.    Interested leaders can contact

Environmental Service Days at Sawyer Point
Puppeteers wanted for Environmental services day at Sawyer Point, Saturday, April 17, 2010. Scripts, stage, props and puppets supplied. Hamilton County Recycles
Hamilton County Recycles website is a great resource to share with leaders who are working with their troop to complete a Council Wide Community service project. 
 
Ms. Fix-It Badge Program
The National Association of Women in Construction, Cincinnati, Chapter offer Ms. Fix-It Badge workshops to Girl Scout Juniors a few time a year.  The workshops are free!  The workshop is very hands on where girls actually get to use tools.  Space is limited to 16 girls per session because of equipment.  Reserve your spot by contacting
Chris Salley.  Please list dates in order of preference along with the number of girls in your troop.  The available dates are:
 
March 31st
April 21st
May 19th

 
All workshops take place from 5:00pm-6:30pm and take place at the Independent Electrical Contractors Apprenticeship Training Center located on Kings Run Drive in Cincinnati.

Miami Valley Dance Company presents: Alice in Wonderland & Other Repertory Dances
Girl Scouts are invited to attend a Dance Badge Workshop and Mad Hatter Tea on Saturday, March 20, 2010 at Bellbrook High School Auditorium, Bellbrook, Ohio.  Please see the attached flyer for more information and to register for this opportunity.


The Cincinnati Cyclones are hosting three scout nights this season. The first scout night is on Friday, December 4th at U.S. Bank Arena in Cincinnati. It has a split down the middle because it is a two part patch; to get both parts the individual scout must attend two of the three scout nights this season.
