Girl Scouts of Western Ohio’s product sales activities help girls develop life-long skills that increase their self-confidence and add new dimensions to their lives. By participating in the product sales, girls earn their own way and contribute to the troop/group and council support.
The product sales activities present opportunities for girls to learn:
- Goal setting
- Decision making
- Money management
- People skills
- Business ethics
All registered girl members at the Girl Scout Daisy grade level or higher whose parents/guardians have given their written permission are eligible to participate in the product sales.
Girl Scouts of Western Ohio offers two product sale activities per year:
The Fall Product sale takes place in October. Girls participate with products from Ashdon Farm which offers program activities for all age levels that the girls and their troops can use throughout the year.
The Girl Scout Cookie sale is the nation’s premier business entrepreneurial program for girls. The program begins in January and runs through March. Girl Scouts of Western Ohio's bakery, Little Brownie Bakers, supplies each troop with program activities that prepare each girl and her troop with goal setting, marketing, entrepreneurship and leadership ideas.
